SUMMARY:One-on-One Handgun Fundamentals Training
DESCRIPTION:Just received your pistol permit but still don’t feel completely comfortable handling or shooting a handgun? This course was designed for you. \n\n\n\nGetting your permit is only the first step. If you are a new handgun owner\, have very limited shooting experience\, or simply want more confidence before heading to the range on your own\, our One-on-One Handgun Fundamentals Training provides personalized instruction in a relaxed\, private setting. \n\n\n\nThere is no prior experience required. This course is especially well suited for new permit holders\, first-time handgun owners\, and anyone who may feel nervous\, hesitant\, or overwhelmed around firearms. Because the training is one-on-one\, we can move entirely at your pace\, spend extra time on the areas you are uncomfortable with\, and answer questions that may be difficult to cover in a larger class. \n\n\n\nTraining can include: \n\n\n\n\nSafe handgun handling and the fundamental rules of firearm safety\n\n\n\nUnderstanding the controls and operation of your handgun\n\n\n\nProper loading and unloading\n\n\n\nGrip\, stance\, sight alignment\, and trigger control\n\n\n\nSafely drawing\, presenting\, and manipulating the firearm as appropriate\n\n\n\nClearing common malfunctions\n\n\n\nRange procedures and etiquette\n\n\n\nChoosing and understanding ammunition\n\n\n\nSafe storage\, transportation\, cleaning\, and basic maintenance\n\n\n\nLive-fire practice with individualized coaching\n\n\n\nBuilding the confidence needed to safely practice on your own\n\n\n\n\nThe goal of this course is not to rush you through a checklist. It is to make sure you leave feeling safer\, more knowledgeable\, and more comfortable with your firearm than when you arrived. \n\n\n\nBring your own handgun if you have one\, or contact us ahead of time if you need help determining what equipment is appropriate. Couples\, friends\, and small groups of two or more are also welcome. \n\n\n\nYour permit gives you the ability to own a handgun. SUMMARY:NYS Concealed Carry Permit Course (April)
DESCRIPTION:This training course will run on two consecutive Sundays (April 12th and April 19th) from 9am – 5pm. BOTH DAYS will be held at Union Fire Company in West Seneca. Pay close attention to the notification email you will receive a couple days before the event which will confirm the location and other details. Lunch will be included on day 1 but you are welcome to bring food and snacks.Each class is limited to 25 people which cannot be changed.
