OUTDOOR SHOOTING RANGE SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Firearms Range Rules
1. You must be 21 years of age and present a valid form of identification to use the Shooting
Range.
2. Anyone with alcohol on their breath or who appears to be impaired in any way (including impairment from prescription or over-the-counter drugs) will not be permitted on the shooting range. The decision as to whether a shooter is impaired will be made at the Range Officer's SOLE DISCRETION and may not be challenged. The use of marijuana remains illegal under federal law, regardless of the fact that it has been decriminalized in the State of New York. Anyone that an employee of Armstrong's Annory, LLC believes has used marijuana recently will not be allowed out on the Shooting Range, and will not be permitted to handle firearms. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. Pregnant women are not allowed in the range due to possible exposure to lead.
4. Firearms, ammunition and all bags are subject to inspection by Armstrong's Armory, LLC at any time.
5. Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while on the Gun Range.
6. Keep your fingers off the trigger until you are on the firing line, ready to shoot.
7. Do not place a firearm on the bench unless all actions are open and ejection ports are visible. If you have a jammed or malfunctioning firearm, place your firearm on the bench with the muzzle pointing down range and ask range personnel for assistance. NEVER leave the firing line with a loaded or jammed firearm.
8. Loaded firearms may not be handed from one person to another.
9. Be sure your firearm is safe to operate and know how to use it safely.
10. Commands issued by the range staff must be followed immediately.
11. No one is permitted forward of the firing line at any time FOR ANY REASON.
12. Food and drink are not allowed in the range.
13. Only fire at your target.
14. Know your target and what is beyond.
15. Shooting at anything other than your target is prohibited and will subject you to removal from the range.
16. Always wash your hands and face immediately upon leaving the range.
